Tricom Asia Ltd. ("Tricom") is a Hong Kong registered Telecommunication company (OFTA Licence No. 054), founded in 2003 to invest in and provide telecommunication infrastructure solutions in and for emerging markets in the Asia Pacific region. Tricom is currently finalizing a project to design, construct and operate a new fiber optical submarine cable system between Vietnam and Hong Kong, the VNHKC System. The 1050 km, VNHKC System will provide Vietnam with sufficient international bandwidth for the coming decades and interconnections to numerous global networks. Tricom operates offices in Hong Kong, Hanoi and Stockholm, and on Ready For Service date for the VNHKC Tricom will also operate POP:s in Hong Kong, Europe, Japan and the US. Tricom has joined forces with the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunication Group ("VNPT") to invest in the VNHKC System as well as to sell international bandwidth services for one of the fastest growing markets in the world, Vietnam.
