Tricom Asia participated in the Submarine Networks World 2005 conference in Singapore, 20-23 of September.
As one of the panel speakers Tricom Asia's CEO Mr. Peter Landgren took the opportunity to give the industry an update about Tricom Asia and its VN-HK Cable System Project. Mr. Landgren also gave an overview of Tricom Asia's view of the future growth potentials of the Vietnamese telecommunications market. His presentation can be viewed below. The conference showed general indications of a recovering industry with a high number of delegates with a positive view on the future of the industry and particularly for "Niche Markets".

Industry leaders talked about indications of price stabilisation and a continued very strong growth in demand for internet bandwidth with IP based services and broadband deployment being the key drivers.
The forum also talked about price decrease on System construction costs and upgrade opportunities for existing cable system both in terms of capacity and diversity. For new development regional systems are of special interest.
Pioneer Consulting and others also pointed out that they see Vietnam and Indonesia as two markets with particularly good future growth potential.
